Wisdom Workout - A Pause In Time #21

A Timely Pause

We are sent into this world to live our lives to the fullest. This happens when we allow ourselves to be touched by the unexpected experiences that come to help us enter more deeply into new worlds of gentle possibility, delight and celebration.

Imagine that today, this is that wake-up call that you have been wishing and hoping would come and find you.

Not tomorrow or next week. Now.

All that is required of you is that you take this moment of inner solitude to let go of your habit of filling each moment with pushing, striving, and the relentless creation of streams of static in your nervous system.

See yourself nestled under this canopy of branches, with your back cradled by the soft and healing green moss that surrounds this Pondering Pool of quiet, clear water.

Relax. Breathe. Let go. Surrender. Give your overburdened intellect a moment of peace and tranquility. Soften your heart to the beauty surrounding you.

Ask your heart's intelligence to inform you of what is hurting you, harming you, and disturbing your ability to be well. Your well-being.

Ask your intellect's knowledge for one small step that you can take today, that will activate your commitment to participate fully, honestly, and honorably in the exact life you already have. Walk your talk.

When you take the time to delve under the surface of your habits, you begin the process of actively searching out the treasures and intuitive wisdom that comes from the examined life.

You begin to build a strong foundation of self-knowledge, built from the intention to discover and uncover  your unique needs, desires, dreams and values.

I love the colors in this picture - I would love to sit under that tree and smell, listen and feel the lushness and beauty that surrounds. I see a little path over to the right - I would love to follow that path. Love this picture and loved your last article (V-day) in the LBI -I cut it out and read it every night. Thank you Susan!

So good to hear from you Jennie. I just got an e-mail with a photo of this same tree from another angle. Apparently, it is located in Portland in a beautiful Japanese Garden. It is so exquisite and the angle Marjorie took it from shows its full beauty. Thanks for taking the time to write and know how pleased I am that the article is useful.
